Bloom Nutrition Secures Nutrabolt Investment with 20% Stake Acquisition

Nutrabolt acquires 20% stake in Bloom Nutrition

A major minority investment in Bloom Nutrition was announced recently by Nutrabolt. With this investment, Bloom Nutrition’s largest investor is now Nutrabolt, with a roughly 20% ownership position. This investment is a part of a larger $90 million funding round that also includes consumer investment firm Amberstone and Clayton Christopher- a seasoned CPG investor.

Mari Llewellyn and Gregory LaVecchia founded Bloom Nutrition in 2019. Bloom is in the space of health supplements industry and has been serving their consumers with high-quality, flavored health supplements designed to help them achieve their wellness goals. Both founders’ vision is to provide healthy and accessible nutrition options to the masses gradually transformed into a leading player in the health and wellness sector.

“When we first started our business, we had no idea that we would create such a large community and encourage so many others to start their wellness journeys. At Bloom Nutrition, our mission has always been to go with nutritious and delicious supplements to help everyone “bloom” into their best selves. Mari Llewellyn, co-founder of Bloom Nutrition, said, “It’s an incredible honor to have Nutrabolt join us in extending our mission further.”

Doss Cunningham, the chairman and CEO of Nutrabolt, commented on the investment, saying, “We are very excited to partner with Mari and Greg, two outstanding entrepreneurial founders, during their company’s next phase of growth.” Over the last 4.5 years, they have developed a very strong brand and business, but there is still a ton of untapped potential in the shape of new product platforms and distribution channels.

“People like Mari and Greg who are so passionate about a lifestyle that they decide to make it their life’s work and create a business around it are rare, but that is what happened here,” Cunningham continued. Nutrabolt was drawn to this opportunity primarily by their authenticity and passion for the field, which went beyond their remarkable growth and leadership in the area.

The investment will provide Bloom Nutrition with strategic growth capital to drive and expedite numerous critical business areas, such as demand-generation initiatives, product innovation, and building internal capacity to support the developing enterprise.

Bloom began as a direct-to-consumer enterprise and has since grown into an omni-channel business driven by the success of its Greens and Superfoods line of products. Currently, Bloom Nutrition stands as the #1 Greens brand in the United States and is experiencing some of the fastest growth in supplement history.

“We’re excited to work with Nutrabolt to grow our business to new heights. Their resources and experience as leaders in the field will help us scale efficiently, drive sales growth, and accelerate innovation. Greg LaVecchia, co-founder of Bloom Nutrition, said, “This is a huge step forward, and we could not be more excited to start this next phase of growth together.”

The majority of stockholders are still the co-founders of Bloom. Doss Cunningham will serve as Nutrabolt’s representative on Bloom’s board of directors as part of this investment.

ABOUT BLOOM NUTRITION:

About Bloom Nutrition

The goal of Bloom Nutrition is to empower people to reach their full potential by providing them with functional and flavored health supplements. Co-founder Mari Llewellyn, who had reached her lowest point both emotionally and physically, changed her life with the support of her now-husband Greg LaVecchia by turning to fitness and losing over ninety pounds. Bloom was created with the idea that she should help others by following in her footsteps. Founded in 2019, Bloom is revolutionizing the health and wellness industry with simple-to-take vitamins that provide your body with the nourishment it requires to thrive.

The most well-known product from Bloom is their Greens & Superfoods powder, which gained popularity on TikTok due to its delicious tastes and purpose-driven recipe. Since then, Greens has seen tremendous development, as has the rest of their range of health goods, which includes collagen creamers, protein powders, and pre-workout supplements. Initially a social media-only company, it swiftly rose to the top of the Greens category in the United States and is currently carried by top national retailers such as Target, Walmart, Sam’s Club, GNC, and more. Bloom has a loyal Gen Z and millennial following across the country due to its accessible branding and community-driven approach.
